Our Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) program, delivered in partnership with VFIS, is designed to prepare emergency responders to safely and effectively operate emergency vehicles under both routine and emergency conditions. This nationally recognized program focuses on reducing risk, preventing crashes, and improving overall driver awareness through a combination of classroom instruction and practical skill development.

Participants will learn essential topics including vehicle dynamics, defensive driving principles, legal considerations, emergency response procedures, and the responsibilities of operating with lights and sirens. The course emphasizes real-world decision-making, hazard recognition, and techniques to maintain control of emergency vehicles in a variety of environments and weather conditions.

This training is appropriate for EMS providers, firefighters, rescue personnel, and other public safety professionals who operate or may operate emergency vehicles. Successful completion helps agencies meet insurance, risk management, and operational safety requirements, while promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.

Upon completion, participants will receive VFIS Emergency Vehicle Driver Training certification documentation.
