Bender Safety & Training Corporation is an Authorized Training Provider of the American Red Cross and is approved by The Pennsylvania Key / PA Keys to provide CPR, AED, and First Aid training for child care professionals through the Professional Development (PD) Registry.
Several of our instructors are recognized as Standardized Professional Development Instructors (SPDI), allowing us to provide qualifying professional development opportunities that support requirements associated with Keystone STARS, OCDEL, and DHS.

Our CPR, First Aid, and AED courses provide participants with the practical skills and confidence needed to respond when someone becomes seriously ill or injured. Training can include adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, choking emergencies, bleeding control, and common first aid situations.
These courses are appropriate for workplaces, schools, childcare providers, community organizations, coaches, families, and anyone who wants to be better prepared for an emergency. Courses meeting specific employer, regulatory, or Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System/PA Keys requirements may be available based on your training needs.

Basic Life Support is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who may be required to perform CPR and other lifesaving skills as part of their job.
Students practice high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, airway and ventilation skills, choking management, and effective team-based resuscitation. The course places a strong emphasis on hands-on practice and performing effectively during a real emergency.
BLS training is appropriate for EMS professionals, nurses, physicians, healthcare students, clinical staff, and other healthcare providers.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support builds on foundational BLS skills and focuses on the recognition and management of adult cardiovascular emergencies.
Participants work through cardiac arrest, dysrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, airway management, pharmacology, and team-based resuscitation scenarios. Students are expected to apply clinical knowledge while communicating and functioning effectively as part of a resuscitation team.
ACLS is intended for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support prepares healthcare professionals to recognize and manage critically ill or injured infants and children.
Training focuses on pediatric assessment, respiratory emergencies, shock, cardiac arrest, rhythm recognition, resuscitation, and effective team dynamics. Students participate in hands-on skills and realistic scenarios designed to strengthen clinical decision-making during pediatric emergencies.
PALS is intended for healthcare professionals whose responsibilities may include the emergency care of pediatric patients.

Severe bleeding can become life-threatening within minutes. Stop the Bleed training teaches participants how to quickly recognize life-threatening hemorrhage and take immediate action before professional responders arrive.
Students learn direct pressure, wound packing, and proper tourniquet application through practical, hands-on instruction.
This course is appropriate for schools, businesses, fire departments, EMS agencies, community organizations, churches, workplaces, and members of the general public. No medical background is required.

Our Babysitter Certification Course helps young people develop the skills and confidence needed to safely care for infants and children.
Students learn about basic childcare, age-appropriate supervision, feeding, diapering, household safety, emergency preparedness, basic first aid, professionalism, and what to do when unexpected situations occur.
The program is designed to give new and developing babysitters a strong foundation while helping parents feel more confident in the person caring for their children.

Bender Safety & Training Corporation provides continuing education opportunities for EMS professionals throughout the region.
Courses are designed to strengthen clinical knowledge, reinforce practical skills, and address topics that EMS providers encounter in real-world patient care. Continuing education may include medical, trauma, pediatric, operational, leadership, safety, documentation, and other EMS-related topics.
We can also work with EMS agencies and other organizations to develop training around specific departmental needs. Both scheduled classes and organization-based training opportunities may be available.

Bender Safety & Training provides workplace safety education for businesses, healthcare organizations, emergency services, schools, and other employers.
Training opportunities include Bloodborne Pathogens education as well as other occupational safety topics based on organizational needs. Courses focus on helping employees understand workplace hazards, appropriate protective measures, exposure prevention, and what actions should be taken following an incident.
Group and on-site training can be arranged for employers seeking education for multiple employees.

Emergency Vehicle Driver Training prepares emergency responders to operate ambulances, fire apparatus, and other emergency vehicles more safely and responsibly.
Training addresses topics such as vehicle dynamics, defensive driving, intersection safety, backing operations, emergency response considerations, operator responsibility, and reducing preventable emergency vehicle crashes.
Programs include both classroom education and practical driving components as required by the course. This training is appropriate for fire departments, EMS agencies, rescue organizations, and other emergency response agencies.
VFIS Emergency Vehicle Driver Training opportunities are available through qualified instructors.
