This American Heart Association BLS Provider Course teaches the essential skills needed to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. You’ll learn high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, how to use an AED, and how to work effectively as part of a resuscitation team. This is a hands-on, practical course designed for healthcare providers and anyone who wants to be prepared.

Bender Safety & Training Corporation is now accepting applications for our upcoming EMT Course (Class #26-63-424) running May 25 through September 7, 2026. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings (6:00–10:00 PM) with one weekend per month, and are offered in Weedville and Emporium. Tuition is $500 with a $200 deposit due upon acceptance, and Cameron County residents may qualify for fully funded tuition (agreement required). Admission is competitive and limited to 24 students per location, with rolling acceptance, so early application is encouraged. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to meet course and clinical requirements.

Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6:00–10:00 PM) with one weekend per month, and are offered in Weedville and Emporium. Tuition is $1,000 with a $200 deposit due upon acceptance, and Cameron County residents may qualify for fully funded tuition (agreement required). Admission is competitive and limited to 24 students per location, with rolling acceptance, so early application is strongly encouraged. This is a flexible program designed for working providers, and both BSTC and Cameron County leadership will work with your schedule to support your success.
